MakingDataAccessEasier InChapter3,westudiedmenuanddirectorytreestructures.Thisisan essentialelementoforganizingprogramsanddata,becausethetree structureallowsyoutogroupsimilarclassesofvariablesandprograms together.Forexample,Mathematicalprogramstogetherina 'MATH' directory,matrixprogramsinasubdirectory,etc. Inanysubdirectory,itispossibletoorderthevariablesandprogramswith thefunction ORDER.Thiscommandtakes,asitsargument,alist containingthenamesofthevariablesinthedesiredorder.Thefunction thenputstheminthatorder.Inthisway,forexample,youcanplacethe importantprogramsfirst,followedbysub-programsthatarelessuseful.
